Bentley “Le Mans Style”

From Thrupp and Maberly..

This 4 ¼ Derby Chassis No. B184HK was fitted with engine No. D8BF and was delivered in November 1936 to J. Proctor-Pearson in Cheshire (UK). The car was registered ALU1 and fitted with a 4 door touring saloon body by Thrupp and Maberly. In total only 23 of the 4 ¼ Derby Bentleys carried this Thrupp and Maberly body style

In the 1980’s, this car was exported to the USA where it stayed until 2010. Throughout its life it has remained a matching number car. Its history is well documented and most previous owners are known by us. The current owner purchased the car from Vintage and Prestige. In 2010, he rebodied the car with a Vanden Plas Le Mans style body. The body was painted “Brewster Green” and build up with all the correct parts.
